RESEARCH ADVOCACY & TRAINING ROLES

  • NPA: Served in the Advocacy Committee on postdoc advocacy & policy, co-wrote proposal on postdoc policies, developed Q&A resource on FLSA & postdocs, provided feedback on postdoc exit surveys.

 

  • GCC: Worked with PhD Career Outcomes Committee, published institutional PhD career taxonomies paper that could be a resource for workforce legislation, contributed advocacy training content.

 

  • Advocacy Fellow Roles: Selected as SfN Policy & Advocacy Fellow to support neuroscience research advocacy, and ARIS Fellow working on STEM education & workforce training and policy project. 

 

 

  • JSPG: As CEO & Managing Publisher, published special issue on STEM education and workforce development, enhanced author impact on Capitol Hill, expressed support for the GRAD Caucus, and enlisted JSPG in SOA.
